Has anyone cut the black plastic out of the bumper of a non-t G20 to put aftermarket fogs in the factory location? Do you need to do this to get a clean look? Is there room behind the bumper to just cut a small round hole for the beam to shine through, or do they have to mount to the bottom of the bumper itself?
Thanks,

I don't have any pics, but . . . behind that plastic bumper is a "beam" of some kind . . . this is what actually saves your hiney and destroys your ride in the event of an impact . . .
the stock fogs are connected to this "beam" with the factory brackets (included with a stock fog light package) . . . their are even holes their already. When you look at those spaces in your factory bumper you know how it has that 60/40 kind of split going on? When you cut out the bigger (60) side of it, you can feel the holes in the underside of that "beam" where the factory fogs belong . . . When I installed my first pair of aftermarket fogs I put them in this location (had to drill new holes for them) . . . but it had a nice clean look which is important to me . . . Anyhow . . . you will have best results if you secure your fogs to the "beam" . . . the rest is up to you. |
