Here are the problems that my car has...

I have an 1994 Integra (RS automatic) on 130K.
Followings are the problems that it has.
Please advice me what to do.

1. During summer, when the A/C is on while the car is stopped, it makes ticking sound from the hood for a while. And then it's gone.
2. When I step off from the gas pedal while I drive it 60-70 mph on the highway, I hear a small hissing sould from the hood for about three seconds.
3. The temperature guage stays on the lowest level during the winter. Even in summer, it stays on one fifth of entire level.
4. The engine noise has been a lot louder than one year ago.


Is there any way I can get soundproof thing under hood to reduce the engine noise? If so, who installs it?

check your thermostat which might be stuck open and not letting the car warm up correctly
