Possible Electrical Problem

Hey all heres a lil a problem i had to day with my 95 Lumina LS 3.1 V6 maybe u guys can help me out to determine my problem. Well i went out to the city today as i was coming home my car shut off i started it back up with no problem. As i was sitting at a light i looked at my speedo and notcied that the needles in the speedo and the RPM's were flickering up as if they were twitching. Also as i started to drive it felt like my tranny was messed up but it was fine as i went at a more higher speed. I wanna know if i might have a wiring problem that can be the problem with this. thanx.

Have they alt. tested at a place like Autozone. GM alts on these cars are notorious for failing.

Re: Possible Electrical Problem

Could it possibly be a ground wire defective somewhere?

Crank the car and while it's running, get a multimeter out and check your voltage...with nothing turned on it should read 14-14.7 volts...Maybe the battery's weak? Weak batteries often kill alternators...
