Hi. I am looking for the process a dealer would go through to program a new remote fob transmitter for a 2000 Cadillac Deville DTS.
Thanks in advance!! Dan |

Re: HELP to program a new transmitter!
You would need the Tech-2 scan tool See the site I posted for more information http://209.145.176.7/~090/awh/cad98rke.html

Pricing a Tech 2 Scan Tool
Sadly enough, I was trying to find a way to program the remotes without trying to find the $3,500 tool. The dealerships are asking a semi-fair price, but why pay for a service if you can do it yourself. From everything I have read so far, I am finding that they only way to program these new remotes is with that tool.
Another related question. I know that up to four remotes can be programmed. Does that mean two #1's and two #2's? Any combination of either one? Or one #1, then one #2, then two generic remotes that do not have a driver preset function?? |

Re: Pricing a Tech 2 Scan Tool
That I am not sure about. I would think that the age of the computer system in the Cadillac would be able to know that they are just extra remotes and not programed to the Memory 1 or 2 buttons. That would be my thinking but not sure.-
