Exclamation Cold Air Intake Performance Variables!!!???

Hey!
Im looking forward to make a cold air intake for my 1992 Toyota Corolla Sedan(AE92).It has a 4A-FE engine in it.I understand that there are many variables when creating the intake.For example;
what should be the diameter and lenght of the intake pipe in order
to get maximum acceleration and top end power?What is the best
type of conical filter?Single or twin?What materials you recomend
apart from aluminum piping?Ive been trying to find the aluminum
straight pipe in my area.Where can i go to find these type of tubing?
Also what can I use for the bends apart from aluminum mandrel bends?
And how to connect to the throttle body without using anypart of the
original intake duct?In all these setups i would like to go better for the
torque part as i understand the FE engines are more designed for torque than the Toyota GE engines which are more free revving.I am
interested in better acceleration instead of top speed and all that.So,what do you recomend me in all these variable aspects?I dont
know a lot on this areas so id apreciate if you could help me make the
optimal intake for acceleration and racy sound for the 4A-FE engine.

Re: Cold Air Intake Performance Variables!!!???

Just buy one, they've been dyno tested for max power.

Re: Cold Air Intake Performance Variables!!!???

A constant diameter, and smooth bends are the important parts. Keep the diameter at least as large as stock or slightly bigger. Route it to a cool air source. The filter needs to be of adequate flow (see the manuf. specs.) and not in a position where it will draw water easily. You're not going to tune the engine with a cold air system...you're into the area of the 3rd, 4th and higher harmonic. You're only creating a smoother, less restrictive flow path...just like all the aftermarket parts.
