Any help would be GREAT...

Ok, I am in dire need of some financial suggestions. That is, if there IS anything to do in this situation. I've seen how many other people get replies in this "Car Buying" topic, but lets give it a shot! Here goes:

I currently drive a 2003 Eclipse GS (v6 price left my mouth a little bitter), and I am trying to think of the best way to get rid of it. It has almost 20,000 miles but is in beautiful condition. At the time I purchased that car it was for reliability purposes, but now my situation has changed and I want a performance car. I am looking getting an 00'S2000 with 40-50k miles for around $17,000. I owe around $20,000 for this car (buy, not lease) but am not sure HOW TO GET OUT OF IT!! Is there an easier way then paying the difference from what I can sell it for and what I owe??? Am I missing something??? Any help would be great !
