Is this one a tough comparison or what? Now in the past, BMW M3 has won this battle against the C36 or C43 AMG. Now we have an all new M3 and an all new C32 AMG. Who takes this fight?

The Merc is an auto still, right?
If not, my vote needs to be reconsidered.
Yup, still the M3.

The M3 is more edgy. Its more like an American V8. So I'll take the M3.

The M3 only cause it's a stick.

Throw the 6-speed in the C32 and I'd take it anyday.

In automobile, they did a comparison, and the M3 and C32 both got 5.2 seconf 0-60 times. The M3 probably wasn't driven super-well, but with a stick, the Merc could clean the bimmer.
If only Mercedes would put a stick in their high-performance models, then we would have something

Come on people! The C32 has a 354 Hp Supercharged AMG V-6!! It is also a family car, the M3 rocks but I think the C32 could smoke it in several catergories.

whats the price of both vehicles?

remember the c32 is supercharged and the M3 is not
they both have 3.2L 6-cylinder engines but the M3 haves more than 100 hp/L naturally aspirated
think about the M3 after its blown
can we say 450hp?

The AMG C32 has about 111 horses per litre while the new M3 has 104 horses per litre. I'm really not sure who the winner is here and I'm hoping some car mag will test the two.

On a different note, does the C32 pack the second highest horses per litre? Honda S2000 is first and has 120/L.

um

the honda s2k is highest hp/l for n/a car.
if you want a highest hp/l for a f/i car (the merc w/ a super)... the merc isnt even close, considering that there are turbo cars that are pushin at least 111 per liter...
if you look at production turbos and s/c cars, they push around 100 ish...
but that doesnt say much... there have been crazy stock cars prior that were pushin out way more hp/l...

so compare hp/l for fi, and then for the n/a... that is where the s2k is at.

What do you mean the Merc is not close? It has 111 horses per litre, granted it is supercharged...But what other super charged production car can push 111 horses/litre?

The subaru impreza WRX 22B STi has a 276 hp 2.0l four, thats 140 hp per litre. It is probable closer to 150 hp per litre, though.
That is one (good) example.

what is a pure horse?
as opposed to a synthetic?
also... the 911 turbo and gt2 have higher ratios...
129 for the gt2, and 116 for the turbo...
