Re: what r/c should i get?
piss easy. get a pan car chassis, bolt on a micro switch to turn the spinny bit on and off, 12 cells, and a 8 single, should do bout 80mph with the right gears
want more info just ask

Re: what r/c should i get?
lc boi, an 8x1 motor will not power you upto 80mph
i have a trinity P94 7x2 which i geared incredibly high on very powerfull matched 3300 cells and it only recorded just under 50mph that motor has an rpm of 54,000 and i was geared at an 84 tooth spur gear with a 24 pinion which was quite high so to get an Electric rc car to do 60mph, its no easy task, the current fastest electric rc car to be recorded was 54mph |

what MarkRiccioni said isnot entierly true. yes the fastest electric car on record is 54 as reported in guiness, but that record was set in a pure legal race ready car with 6 cells. I have had my own personal pan car up to 60 mph, with a motor that was rated at only 27000 RPM and a 6 cell battery. RCCA broke 100 mph with a vehicle they did, it was a 24 cell oval carfrom associtade if i remember correctly. If speed is the only thing that matters to you, get a pan or oval car, a pan car would be more stable in a straight line. so, to break 60 mph, all you need is a pan car, a decent motor, and some tall gearing. For that run, my gear ratio was an extremely tall 2.6:1 final gear.
My view and opinoins expressed in this post are not those of DTE Energry and only those of my own. (company mandated statement when posting online)
