projector headlights&pistons?
hey guys i got some money and want some projector headlights but i dont want to get some and then later on find out theres some cooler ones out there, so if you guys know of some badass projectors let me know what there called or give me a website or if anyone has some on there car post a pic. i want black ones. and im ready to get rid of my shitty ugly strut bar, but dont want to pay over $100 for front strut.
anyone know of cheap website for nice strut bars? last question i want to get some pistons for my b18c1, i want some really strong ones that will easily hold atleast 150 shot, even know i would only be sprayin 125shot. willing to pay $1300 or less. i looked at the je pistons, but they dont really say how much horsepower they can handle, it just says it can handle more than the stock ones. and for $500 i just dont know if they could handle what im looking for. i want a 125 shot to be as harsh on my pistons as a 40shot on my stock ones. so if anyone can help on any of these topics, it will be GREATLY appretiated. plz help |

Re: projector headlights&pistons?
I really like the black housing angel eyes from www.autodynamic.com not the 1 piece ones though, those are nasty IMO. The JE pistons should be alright for a 125 shot, depending on what CR rating they have, seeing as how people with 300+ whp turbo motor cars are using these pistons

Re: projector headlights&pistons?
For a 125 shot you're going to need a lot more than just pistons. I hope it's a wet kit... You'll need rods, a new crankshaft, racing clutch, bump your fuel supply, f with your timing etc... and the list goes on. If you don't already know any of this then save yourself a blown engine and don't use the stuff.

Re: projector headlights&pistons?
i don't know about a new crankshaft, but pistons, rods, sleeving the block or use a blockguard, some kind of engine management system, upgraded fuel system, which you seem to have taken care of already, there's a number of things you can do to build up your bottom end to be able to handle it.

Re: Re: projector headlights&pistons?
A 125hp instant jolt to your car doesn't exactly equal reliability. You'll have to get either new motor mounts or mount inserts to keep your engine from bouncing around, and make sure your plugs don't go bad... they can melt quicker than a piece of string over a lighter if your a/f mix is too lean. Just be careful man, my advice is biased because I've blown two stock DX engines with ZEX, a supposed foolproof system..

i bought a set of nology hot wires. but the garage who dyno'd my car said i got less performance out of them than my stock wires. but its probably for the best to use them w/nitrous right?
p.s. Any more angle eye black projectors web pages i should know about? |
