hey you might get a quicker response in one of the racing forums, not that these guys dont know their stuff, but those racing guys look at that kinda stuff like the guys in this forum look at 3000GT/stealth stuff ya know?

just to let you know. . . double clutching is something that had to be done on older cars with m/t's now you don't have to do it, but i think its easier on you tranny, and it's not gonna make you any faster.
double clutching is just putting in the clutch to take the car out of gear, then letting all the way off the clutch and pressing it again, then putting the car in the next gear. thats all it is |

So very close
Double clutching is pushing in the clutch taking it out of gear letting off the clutch rev matching the engine rpm with the rpm needed to go into the desired gear push in the clutch put in gear let off clutch It will slow you dont considerably if you try to double clutch while accelerating, however if you are downshifting if will prevent a lot of wear on the syncros. Ive gotten to the point where its pretty much a natural thing to double clutch when slowing down for a turn. |
