rear window defroster button is messed up!!!

ok guys get this! i thot my defroster switch was bad, but it wasnt, so im out 15 bucks with a new switch that does the same as the old. Now here is the problem. It comes on and goes off whenever the hell it feels like it. strange huh? Also i can turn it on or off by turning the windshield wipers on or off. Sometimes when i turn the car on it comes on automatically and sometimes it just wont come on at all. Also here is another one for ya. the delay setting for the windshield wipers does whatever it feels like. Ill turn it on delay and well sometime it will work properly and some time it opertes like its on the fast or medium pase and will switch up vice versa then go to delay. Any idea whats causing this? or is my car possesed??

i'll say it first before anyone else.... "its probably a bad ground." actually, your defroster might, but it really sounds like your wiring is all messed up.
