Exclamation HottWirez help needed

I'm interested in putting Hottwirez in my car but am not sure of the most efficient method.

I don't have money growing from trees so I'll only put 5 sets of neons in -- one on the dash and one on each of my four doors. Unfortunately, Hottwirez aren't the cheapest or convenient things in the world. Since they come in 15' at the most and (from what I'm told) I'm only allowed to make one cut on each line of neon I buy, I wondered if I could put just one 15' neon around the piece on the front door as well as the back door, hiding the neons in between in my door panels/carpeting. Is this even possible or am I wasting my time?

If that WORKS, I probably won't have enough neon to wire all the way to my power source/power switch. Is it possible to make an extension of just electrical wires to the power source to make up for the lack of neon? Or do the Hottwirez have to directly connect to the power source?

Any help would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks.

I apologize for making a new thread for this after posting in the Interio lighting thread, but I didn't a response in that one. Maybe this one will be different?

I've taken an old picture of my car and made a bad attempt at a diagram so that this might make sense.

The light blue is the HottWirez, the dotted light blue being the HottWirez that I hide between doors/in door paneling/in carpeting so that I don't have to buy a package of HottWirez for each door. The light green is electrical chord from the end of the HottWirez to the power supply .. IF I'm allowed to use this as an extension.

Anyone know if this is possible?

Re: HottWirez help needed

hott wires come with a cord to go to the power source, and it can be extended by splicing in additional electrical wire. i would recomend saving up and buying all 5 sets of lights, because with your diagram, your doors won't open. you can find some cheap lights by going on to ebay and searching for "lite glow" i bought 8 sets from there and installed them in my car, and they worked fine
