here is what i am goin to start doin this weekend, i got a fiberglass kit from the auto stor i am goin to use that on my sides to mold them up, then i am goin to use some body fillerto smooth it in, i believe this will be the most efficient way so it wont crack, any bodyshop would prolly do it the same, it is kind of messy but you will prolly have the best results doin it this way.

Re: molding body kit...any suggestions or how tos?

well bondo will crack no doubt about it. might take a bit but it will. ive been working with fiberglass for a while, making custom stuff like sub boxes and ish, but i was thinking pile on lots and lots of duraglass (or fiberglass strand reinforced body filler) where the top of the sides meet the body. it is much stronger than normal body filler. then drill and screw the sides on from the outside. when the crease is molded and sanded and whatnot, then put body filler or fiberglass over the screw and sand.
so the side wouldnt crack unless it came undone from the screw... thats one of my ideas.

pack that sucker with fiberglass, you've done fiberglass work before so I'm sure you can figure it out

Im working on my Integ- widebody (which intails a lot of Molding). My kit consists of front/back bumper, front fenders(both sides), rear quarter pannels (both sides), and sideskirts. What I did, was rivet the pieces on (sometimes bolting them on to make them sturdy), then fiberglassing then bondo. I made sure that all the pieces were securly fasened before I fiberglass/bondo to make sure they didnt crack. But, I molded the quarter pannels on w/ just bondo and they started cracking so I had to re-do it w/ fiberglass then bondo.
Bondo by itself WILL crack but if you put fiberglass before the bondo, it should be cool.
