Question Need help with Subs for a 3000gt!

I want to either put a 12" or a 15" single sub in my trunk. I cant put it ontop of the folded down back seats, because someone will break into my car an steal it eventually(Lots of crime in my city)!

I have 94' SL w/ the Infinity sound system(love it). Im also thinking about a 10" Infinity BassLinkX or BassLink powered sub, just to stay with infinitys great sound. I know if I go for the 10" it wont be loud outside at all, and I know the 10" will fit fine and sound good inside!

But my question is, Is it possible to put a 12" or 15" sub in the thin part of the actual trunk, without moving the save-space spare tire?? Any recomendations???

Thanks,
Wynn

Re: Need help with Subs for a 3000gt!

NO DONT DO IT!!! the size of the sub you chose would just knock out the panel. what i did with mine was used a double 8 bandpass box that fit nicely behind the rear seat and the cover going over it. with the hatch closed you cant see it. i used 2 8 inch rockford fosgate hx2's with 500 watts rms and 1000 watts peak. driven by a 801s fosgate amp and believe me thats all you need and so would be the vehicle next to you...

Re: Need help with Subs for a 3000gt!

i actually bought the subs and amp from ebay.
you automatically save about 60% of retail. make sure you buy it from a power seller with great feedback.

If you put the box in the crack right behind the seat what do you do with the cd-changer? Wont it make your cd's skip? What would you do about that?
