dustying my models

what would u recommend using to clean my models? i don't have too many models for them all to be in cases, and they get kinda dusty. would just a paper towel or cloth work or would something else be better for the job?

Re: Re: dustying my models

I use a wet rag (just warm water wet) for the exterior and compressed air for the interior.

Of course the best idea is to stop them getting dusty in the first palce - but you said you can't do that.

How about using a soft paint brush. As long as the dust isn't too thick or baked on it will do the trick and should largely avoid damaging delicate parts like a great swab of cloth might do.

I find one of those large soft bristle make up brushes that ladies use to apply blusher works perfectly.

Re: dustying my models

quick question: is the compressed air used to clean computers the same as the compressed air cans used for airbrushes?

Re: dustying my models

I was watchin SpikeTV; when they have all the car shows on, and in the "product showcase" they had a spray on dust repellant for die cast cars. Wondering if that would work for plastics?

NO, airbrush canned air contains butane and propane.
Keyboard duster canned air contains C02
