SuperKaribou - your photos are incredible! Thanks very much for posting them for us. Anyone who is considering bidding on this F1 on December 2nd would be wise to be viewing this forum now.

Also, thanks to Cabrio for pointing you in this direction.

Jomo- The LM engine redlines at 8500RPM instead of 7500RPM. You can see the tach in a few of these photos and the redline is definitely not at 7500RPM. I went and looked at a photo of the tach in LM03, and it has much closer spaced lines etched into it at 8500RPM. I'm assuming they are there in this car as well, and just aren't visible in the shadows of the instrument cluster, or blocked by the steering wheel.

Heaps nice pics. Never seen a Gulf f40. Thats one nice carpark, wish I was there.
So 073 has a GT interior, a LM Engine and A HDF, so really a GTR style chassis. Wow McLaren's collection all in one!

-Just a question, would I be stupid in saying it would be stupid to steel an F1, if it was possible, wouldn't it be a little hard keeping it secret, servicing it etc?

Pouvez-vous m'aider avec mon devoir de francais?

-Mike

Yes stealing a McLaren would be a bit dumb - I bet even the users in this forum could track it down.

As for the "Gulf F40", that is actually a Venturi and not a Ferrari. The specific model escapes my mind at the moment - it's more that likely some variation on the 400 or 400 Trophy though.

Re: Mc Laren F1 - SK Pics ....

Hello,

I remember you that it was the third edition of Supercar Rally organized by Stephane Ratel wich was the R of BPR Series (B for Bscher and P for Peter).

All cars were fantastic including EB 110 SS, F40 Competizione, Gallardo, Murciélago, F50, Modena Stradale (revy baby).

A friend with S2000 tubistyle has folowed the cars to Megeve but there is not passenger to film a confrontation between two "110hp/liter and more" or 2.0 versus 4.7

I remember you also that McLaren F1 was present only 45 minutes and does not take part at the rally !

SK > tu as encore des progres à faire

Ciao
Phil
