Unhappy Help! My CRX Hesitates in full throttle!

I have a '90 CRX HF, just did the tranny swap in it, and it hesitates whenever the pedal is to the floor, seems as if the tach "floats" whenever it happends. Please if you guys have any suggestions get back to me. I just changed my cap rotor and plugs, so that's outta the question thanks!~

Try adjusting your clutch cable.

I think you might be right, because my clutch worked great the first night, I could burn the tires off the thing, now it's seems as if it is slipping in first gear when i juice it. I'll try that. Thanks!

Well I adjusted the cable, my clutch pedal feels different, it feels softer now, it was harder to push in before, but it still does the hesitation and when I get on it in first gear it slips. Any other Ideas? Anyone have the same problem?

check your fuel pump, might not be sending full pressure to the injectors.

I just got my fuel pump replaced like 4 months ago...professionally...and how would I just "check" it anyway? Think it could just be my injectors in general? The thing is, sometimes it runs fine, then sometime's it doesn't...

It sounds like your clutch is slipping. So, either you adjusted it the wrong way, or you have grime, oil, whatever on your disc and flywheel. Or your clutch disc is bad.

Funny thing was that it worked fine the first night I got it all fixed. I found out that the person worked on my car didn't put the nut back on the front motor mount bolt. And it pops whenever I get on it in first gear. you think that could have somethin to do with it?

Re: Help! My CRX Hesitates in full throttle!

The motor mount has nothing to do with it.

You said you could, "burn the tires off the thing".....so you probably burned the clutch up. Get a new clutch, might as well be something that graps better while you're at it.

I don't think I burned the clutch up with one stunt-I get out to my car to leave for lunch today and just start pumping the clutch a lot (even though i know it's not hydraulic) just to feel it, and now it hasn't slipped in first, it goes like it's supposed to, and now it doesn't studder either! So I'm almost positive it's my clutch, but yea, it wouldn't hurt to get a better clutch next time, I just think my clutch cable is messed up or something or it isn't holding where it's supposed to be when it's adjusted...thx for all the help guys. It'll probably just keep doing this shit off and on forever till i get a diff clutch...
