looking to buy 96+ taurus..what should i know?
are transmissions ok on these taurus'?
I want a taurus with the more powerful 3.0, but I saw a nice 3.4 SHO in the paper. are SHO's supercharged? what problems shoudl i look for when looking at one? |

I've have one now and it has been a pretty good car. I got it with 46,000 miles on it. No transmission problems. Had a major break job and replaced the tirod ends (sp?) at 85,000 miles. Now has about 110,00O. Also replace some censor that was about 300 dollars. Some minor electrical problems about 90,000. Plug in collent system went out at 100,000. Oh yeah. The power steering pump went out a few days after I got it, but the dealer fixed it for free. I would stay away for the SHO if I were you. I believe they have more problems. Mine is a GL
