Need more go for my dough

Hey, I'm new to the forum... I have a 98 Buick Regal LS with a 3800 series II, non supercharged. I am wondering if there is any affordable way to convert my car into a GS (engine wise). I tend to think it would require more than just a supercharger??? Also on that subject I might have an opportunity to buy a 98 Grand Prix GTP, what can I do to add power to the supercharged 3800 series II, without comprimising much in reliablity. I plan to live in the mountains before I will be through with either of these cars 9,000+ ft above sea level. Any ideas on what gas to run supercharged or any modifications which would apply to any vehicle at that altitude? Reg gas is 85 oct up there. Runs fine in my current non supercharged buick.

look around the forums for folks asking about SC a normal 3.8. It's generally considered a bad idea, the NA 3.8 isnt built for boost, the SC 3.8 is. Go for the GTP, you'll have less headaches, better reliablility, and yes, the chicks will still dig you Run Premium, and only premium in any supercharged vehicle. Premium will help provent engine knock from boost. Premium should be ~92-93 octane
