It depends on how much boost you want to run.

you will need pistons, rods, and have the bottomend fully balanced you'll probly want to replace your main bearing bolts and head bolts with studs also use a better headgasket like one made out of copper

I am not sure but doesn't the LS run a 9 or something to 1 compression ratio. If that is the case I have heard of people running about 10psi on stock engines with a block guard but 16psi is getting up there so ya I would definately put, rods, pistons, rings, and since you have it apart through a block girdle on there to. I am planning on running 26psi-30psi on the strip with my B16A2 so I had mine sleeved by AEBS, they do great work and I would highly recommend them. Also you should look in to Total Seal piston rings. They have a Max Seal set that I am planning on getting that would be perfect for you. It has a gapless top ring and you get a leakdown of 2% or less which means less blow by and less oil contamination. They really are cool rings and the techs there are easy to talk to if you have any questions. I would stay away from copper gaskets most of people I know who run high boost just put the Honda OEM back in and it holds up great.

A Block Guard goes around the sleeves to keep them stable under boost, see Honda's have "free floating" sleeves in which the deck is not closed but it is open. If you go to your shop and they have a head off of a Honda block it will be become more clear. I would send you pictures but they are to big of files.
