325tds E36 Engine Braking Probs- Rewrote

you may want to look for 524td
Those were sold in the USA and infact BMW supplied that diesel engine to Ford.
If a diesel has any issue with running it is a pump issue. Usually a timing issue, but an injector pump timing issue. Check with a Ford dealer or search on some of the other BMW WEB sites for 525td. Later,

Are you not thinking of the 524d. pre 1990 approx. The engine was licensed to Ford - put into the
Range Rover (Euro markets)- I dont think it was never used in the US.
