93 VW Fox problems

I own a 93 fox and am havin a few problems with it.

Frist off hot air always comes out of the vents, even if I have it set to cold and have it turned off.

Second when I aclerate in gear I hear a clicking noise but when I am not in gear its not as bad and its not the oil cuz I just changed it.

Thrid when I am crusing on the highway it makes a farily loud humming sound which I suspect is the ball barings or something along those lines.

Forth when I hit a big bump or its cold and raining the car will hesitate. When I hit the gas nothing happens and sometimes it will happen when I try to start the car and it won't stay started. I think it becaues I have a bear wire that comes off the distributer so I put some electrical tape on it for now and seems to have helped.

I was just wondering if anyone else has had these problems and how much work and money it would take to fix them and can I fix it or should I take it to the shop.

about the hot air i would say its the heater flow valve. i dont know much these cost or how to fix them.

the loud humming is the front hub bearing/s they cost about $40 to purchase and installation costs depends on how much you do yourself.

the skipping and other such things could be the electrical, but on mine it was the fuel filter it has ran fine since. i would try the fuel system first, then go to the electrical.
