89 - 68118
90 - 60582
91 - 34534
92 - 27033
93 - 21471
94 - 1167
95 - 25114
96 - 7334
97 - 3655
98 - 2178

Keep in mind this is world wide

Factor in, a quarter of the cars half in japan, one quarter in US/Canada, a quarter for the rest of the world.

The factor in crashed cars, parts car, car used for SRs in japan etc.

Then look at the fact theyre are literally over a million civics in excistence...

*shudder*

what about S15's? yeah i know they weren't sold over here, but i'm still curious as to how many...

something tells me there's more then that...but i dunno.

btw, you've only accounted for three quarters there. one in japan, one in NA, one for the rest. where's the other? you subtract crashed cars FROM those quarters, so it doesn't count as it's own quarter, and i doubt a quarter of those are crashed either.

where'd you get this info?

Re: 240 Production Numbers

those production numbers sound about right, saw another place that posted em. I do remember 1995 having at least 30,000 manufactured though, don't really remember.

I wonder why 97/98 sold so low, they were the best looking 240sx's in my opinion

Re: 240 Production Numbers

Only 1167 for the 94? They were only avaliable as a convertible right? I didn't know the production number was that low on the 94. I bet the number in existance has to be below 1000 by now. I guess that makes it the rarest 240sx!!??

Re: 240 Production Numbers

yep, 1994's are the rarest version. No one wanted the convertible version b/c they were heavy and had a truck motor or something like that.

maybe that is just 240sx's. Because i am pretty sure that the S14 in japan started life as the 94 model. They didn't get the S13 convertible only deal for the 94's.......

Sorry guys, I meant total S-chassis production.

I got the figures from FA.

Also, wouldnt the convertabile have to be stiffer than the coupe to make up for it having no roof. I think it would be kinda badass to have a vert, with a midly tuned SR, just for pimping(well, not blang blang, but you know what I mean) and then have a hatch/coupe for the track.

the ka24 was around before it was used in a truck so how does that make it a truck motor? LOL

If anything prior to the SR craze of the mid 90's the KA was one of NIssan's most used 4 bangers for race cars lol......and a lot of people still use them.

Also the KA24 behavorial patterns we see in a 240sx are not nessecarily the stereotypes of a KA24, in different cars it acts differently. Intake manifold, exhaust manifold, cams, maybe even a different head design could all be factors. I hear the KA24 in the altima is a lot quicker revving then the KA24 in the 240sx.
