INCORRECT RUMORS
-DC2 will no longer own, it was an ACCIDENT it owned in Ver2, not because Honda sponsored it
-RX8 will NOT own, its a sucky car in real life anyways. Refer to above, just because Mazda is sponsoring this game doesnt mean it will own.
UNCONFIRMED RUMORS
-Everything is actually balanced now...4WD is destroy all in the snow. Fellow R34 drivers, rejoice
-Not all 4WD is own on snow, possibly only the GT4
-Happogahara will be taken out (fond memories in ver1 )

Some more info: The addition of Tuchizaka pass and the LanEvo5/6 and the two guys they drive them are from the manga. You see the oil slicks in the ER34 pics? Yea, the two dudes are pretty much evil bastards of our little story. When Project D faced them, they put oil slicks on the track to make Keisuke crash, and even called in the team to "Beat them up". The LanEvo6 dude kinda helped Takumi out by trying to prevent him from getting beat up... But yeah basically the LanEvo guys are assholes

That's it for new cars? I mean, I know they're mostly limited to cars in the manga but couldn't they add a few more?

Am I alone in wanting a Cefiro, a Chaser, an SA22C RX-7, a Soarer, a Hakosuka, a Z32 Fairlady and an Z432 Fairlady?

Ah well, the new tracks will be great and I like the mild graphics update. Guess I'll have to rebuild my FC.

hey isn't RX-7 and FD the same sh** i mean stuff??? i got vol. 1-5 inital D books and the rx-7s are called FD why??? i mean thurrs no difference?? (ohh becuz its j a p a n e s e??)

FD, FC, and SA22C are the factory chassis codes that refer to the three different generations of RX7.

SA22C is the first generation which came about somewhere between 1976 and 1978 (reports vary and experts argue on that), with the 12A rotary engine and a live axle rear suspension. This is an SA22C.


FC is the true second generation, introduced in 1986. This marked the introduction of independent rear suspension. Turbocharging and the 13B appeared on the "FB" which was really just a mild facelift of the SA22C. This is the FC we all know and love.


And FD is the final generation which had the famed twin-turbo 13B and that great curvy styling. FD's came about in 1992.

Hey! About 13 people visited it last night and only 2 people responded, I know you guys see this! Post up! In other news, yeah I think there are more cars on the way, but none of the cars you listed were used in Initial D (manga). And withs with the first gen RX7?
The RX8 was stuck in there because of hype, not really because it was in the anime...
I, too, would want to see the old GTR in there (didn't Tsuchiya drive one in his early years? :P) but its doubtful...the Z cars wont be likely either. And a heavy weight RWD sedan on touge? You're kidding right? And the Soarer wont be likely either, Supra never even made it into the plan..

Does anyone else notice the times? 3:45 is pretty slow on Akina...no matter what conditions they are...
And how about the pic with the R34 vs FC, did you notice the oil slicks from the anime? Maybe it will now have obstacles and such on the road for us to dodge

Well, I know big Chasers and Cefiros (and Laurels, I forgot to mention Laurels) aren't exactly great for touge but I'd still like to hustle them around those corners. Somehow, it seems absurd enough to be cool to take down some arrogant rookie driving an R34GTR with a big old Chaser sedan at Irohazaka.

Right now I do that with an FC, and it doesn't really have the same effect.

I know that these aren't cars that appeared in the manga, but I still think they'd be fun. Heck, it's not like more cars would be a detriment to the game.

Actually, the FC should destroy a BNR34 anywhere except Myougi wet...Ive had my BNR34 card for about close to a year (for ver1!) and it was my first card, then after 2F2F, it was funny to see everyone sit down, get a stock silver BNR34, and race on Myougi (burn em)
If you really want a large variety of cars, try to find Battle Gear 3 at a local arcade
All the cars you listed (i think) and you get em on a key, not car Oh well...

Plus NFS Underground comes out tomorrow. From what I've seen and from the demo Its the next best thing to Initial D for computer.

If my memory serves me correctly, the beginning of that series is Volume 290. The oppenents of Project D began to retaliate and Wataru (with his supercharged Levin now, got rid of the turbo) and Nobu (guy who taught Kyoko everything she knows..) with his Altezza formed together to challenge Project D. Wataru would be facing Keisuke and Nobu would be facing Takumi. Cool, huh?
Oh, by the way, these arent the Tokyopop version, yes they are the ORIGINAL, so if you are reading Tokyopop , do me a favor and put it in a pile, and burn it.

No no! Its a rumor that the 4WD will own the snow, but I hope it isnt.. also the race between Takumi and the GT4 (except its you again the GT4, not an AE86 :P) will be added into the game. I hope atleast SOMETHING 4WD gets a home course advantage on Akina snow, because having a Cappuchino own in wet, dry, AND snow would just piss people off. Think about it, since when does a K-car own 4WD in the snow? I hope not..

Welcome to the forums KazeKage! From past experiences, we should have it (English ver) by next summer! If you live near an arcade that imports Japanese games, luckily by February? Im not sure of the exact dates, those are just guesses. They are after all, still only testing. I'm not sure about the Bunta Challenge (no reason to take it out..) but I do think they said auras would be taken out. Or maybe they just didnt get transferred? EVO5 might have a RalliArt tune, make it like Skys car in Legend of Speed
No I dont think Project D got beat up, I dont really remember...
Ill have to check on that sometime
