Question 1999 Silverado Keyless remote programming (New Body)

Hello guys, I am new to this thread. Would anyone have the procedure for programming a keyless remote transmitter for a 1999 Chevy Silverado 5.3 x-cab? Any help would be appreciated

Billy

remote Program

1. Start with ignition off.
2. Press and hold unlock button on drivers door, the locks will cycle once.
3. Turn ignition on-off-on-off.
4. Release unlock button, the locks will cycle once.
5. Hold down lock and unlock keys on keyfob transmitter until locks cycle (about 15 seconds).
6. Repeat step 5. for remaining keyfobs (up to 4 total)
7. Turn ignition on to exit the programming mode. Programming is now complete
On step 5 you have to hold down the unlock and lock buttons on the remote at the same time till you see the doors lock then it will be complete.........
I just reprogramed my 99 xcab remote with this procedure and it worked
Hope this helps......

look on the back and make sure you have the correct remote for your year vehicle.
My remote is
GM/UTA 15732803

Hold down the unlock button as you turn your key on-off-on-off and you will hear your doors cycle. then press your lock/unlock bottons together at the same time for roughly 15-18 seconds and you will hear your doors cycle (lock/unlock) one time. It is then programmed. You will have to every other remote the same way while you are doing this.

If you happen to buy another remote and do not do the other one, it will kick the other remote out of its memory banks. These remotes have what is called (rolling codes) like the new garage door opners, 1-4 remotes can be programmed, but all must be done at the same time.

I hope this helps.

Not sure, but possible

I am not sure. You may have to do a search to see if it does. It is very possible that it will. Does not hurt to try.
