Derby Car Project

Okay, me and my freinds build demolition derby cars and i thought it would be fun to build a scale replica of one of our cars. does anybody where i can get a 1979-1991 Ford LTD Crown Victoria kit. I was thinking that surely i could find some police car model of an old LTD but all i could find are new ones. I looked everywhere (my local hobby shop, Ebay, google search) and i cant find one. I know there has to be one out there somewhere.....

yeah, after i read the HOW TO:scratch build headers thread, i thought,"Hey i could make some sweet header stacks.."

well, im givin it til the end of the week if i havent found a LTD by then, I'll just make an impala, there certainly are enough of those models floatin around

I did this to a 97 Ford CV. That was so much fun. Just rip out everything in the interior, then bash the body with a hammer a bit. Put some really big, truck tires on it. Have fun with it.

well, being frustrated with the horrible way the paint came out on my 63 cougar, i decided to turn it into a victim car. so my plans over the next fews days are to "tastefully" destroy the car... then i wanna make a diorama with and LTD hittin it. Thats the plan anyway.....

there are no kits of 80's LTD's, you could use an AMT 71 Monte Carlo, like the ones used in 2F2F, Modelhaus has a resin demo derby 73 Caprice wagon kit, but its pricey, at about 50 bucks
