intermittent engine shut down/ starting
My daughter's '99 SC2 totally shut down the other day while she was driving it. But then she got it started fine. Another time she parked the car, went to school, came back out and it would not start cold--would not turn over, but then after some trying it started fine. Sounds very electrical to me. I suspect an ignition switch problem since the shut down while she was driving does not involve the starter system. Anybody else see it this way? gn

Re: intermittent engine shut down/ starting
I had this problem with my 94 SC2. Does her service engine light come on sometimes. Mine did and I found out it was an 02 sensor was bad. Or another thing u could try is check her battery. The battery might be so low that it barely has an enough to start sometimes but not enough to keep it going.
Good Luck |
