the b16 is a much better motor than the one he would be giving you, unless he is throwing some cash your way, i wouldnt dare swap a b16 for a d16.

Re: Motor Swap Help Please!!!!

Not much swap ECU's wire for obd2 and get a B series mount kit. I think something to do with the shift linkage also.

dude are you "anti-honda"???keep the b16, youre gonna regret selling this guy this motor. people spend years attempting to do swaps correctly. and now you want to swap for a motor thats worse. nothing against the d16 but the b16 is just a better motor. and youre probably gonna wind up spending the 700 just making a shittier motor work in your car.

think long and hard about this. your dude is prolly trying to rip you off. IMO if youre gonna go through with this, go out and back your car into a brick wall or something. then sell him the motor. take the money from the motor and your insurance claim and go make a down payment on an NSX or something...ha ha. have fun what ever you do!!

Plus its not like the b16 has like 350hp and is unreliable it only has a respectable 160hp so I don't understand the whole "not into racing qoute". The d16 is a good strudy engine but I find myself being frustrated w/ its lack of power. I also think your gonna regret the sell. Sounds like only one person will benefit from this deal. But whatever floats your boat

WTF??? If the guy has all that done to his car, why doesn't he just put a turbo on it? If he got your engine, he would have to spend a lot of money to get to where he could already be at with a turbo. I know you probably just want the money, but if you are a true friend, and he really cares about speed, I would just tell him to build his bottom end and then put a turbo on it. With decent tuning he could probably produce 225+whp easy by just adding a turbo to what he's got now and it would probably save him a couple thousand bucks. Then if he had the money for the bottom end build, he could up the boost and be pushing closer to 275+whp maybe even 300+. Just my

alright im done with this post. i dont really know what youre doing. there really seems to be a slim amount of logic applied on both you and your friends part...im not trying to roast you here but i dont like to see people make their cars worse and no matter what thats whats going to happen. youre putting an engine into a car that it didnt come in...im not anti-swap, but ive seen them done and ive seen them get really messed up. good luck.
