Replaced Intake Gaskets Now won't run
I replaced the intake gasket, car fires but won't run. Checked the plug wires and they are set right.
Need info on how to get it going! TIA Butch |

if you replaced the intake gaskets due to coolant leaking into the engine then that means the cylinder walls are washed and the plugs are probobly fouled out first remove the plugs and crank it over to blow any coolant out of the cylinders then replace the plugs with new ones then hook up a battery charger set it to 12v boost start get in the car and hold the accelorator pedal wide open while cranking the engine until it starets to fire on all 6 cylinders then gradually let off the pedal and you will see the white smoke coming out of the exhaust thats the coolant being burnt out of the engine and catalytic converter.i hope you know that the pushrods are different lengths if you installed them incorrectly you will have to dissassemble and switch them around intake are short and exhaust are longer.
