Re: I'm thinking of buying a 300zx, should I?

I unfortunately have had some repairs to do. The major repair was the cylinder head gaskets. While that was being done, I had the timing belt changed, an injector replaced, ignition coil replaced, new spark plugs, and an oil change. I've also changed out the alternator which nearly everyone that owns a Z has or will do eventually. At least it's not difficult or expensive to replace.
Used cars, expect some maintainence. I still love my Z though.

Re: I'm thinking of buying a 300zx, should I?

Since you weren't really specific on which Z, let me say get the Z32. 90-96 years, they're available in a Twin Turbo coupe, Naturally aspirated coupe, slicktop, and 2+2 versions. The TT is only available in a T-top coupe and that's the one to get if you can afford it. Hell if you can find one that ppl don't want an arm and a leg and a left eye and maybe some of your firstborn! LOL
Seriously though, the Z is the reason the term 'Japanese supercar' was invented.

Considering they came out in 90, they were way ahead of there time. I want a TT, but need to take more than 1 person. It would probably cost a crap load to throw the TT into a 2+2, right, if possible??

Ok let me rephrase. TT's didn't come from the factroy as slicktops in the U.Sl If someone did a conversion that's obviously different.

As for the cost factor on a engine swap, it all depends. How much you pay for the 2+2 and tt engine and parts will determine the range of dollars you'll be spending. Also on who will be doing the installation will be a big factor of cost. If you do it yourself, of course, you'll save alot of labor cost. Ultimately doing a swap should cost approx. the same as spending a good amount on a nice condition TT.

I think the 300zx would be great to have and would let you do a lot to it. though if you have the money i think you should get a TT.

NA TO TT is costly and difficult.
here is a few minor list you will need.
injectors, exhuast manifold, inetercoolers, computer up grade, piping and not to mention the turbos.
Is it worth it. It all depends on to you.

zya, sorry but your a dumbass, you cant put turbos on a n/a 300zx, it has to be tt to begin with or you have to do a total engine swap
