What is your most valued "thing" when making a moral desicion?

Most moral theorys work by giving a higher weighting to somethings than others as part of thier way of decieding what is the right or wrong thing to do.
In order to do this you need to have one or sometimes two or more things which are given the highest value. (e.g. A untilitarian might value Happieness as the best thing, while the Vitrue Ethicist will place certian Virtues above others).

For me the thing with the most value from our Human perspective is Human life. Infact I consider it so valuable that there is nothing you can compare it to, and nothing you can add up enough of too equal it.
It is the ultimate value, and should be protected and defended at the cost of everything else. (of course how you do that is a differnt thread. )

Personal responsibility. I dont care what you want to do, but you will be held accountable for your actions.

I guess it would be prosperity for me. Whats best for a person or group of people in the long run. If one must endure a lot of hardship to achieve a greater end result then so be it......

On a more personal level it comes down to the interests of myself and those that i love/care about, AS LONG as its fair, if a family member commited a serious crime, sorry, but they have to go

i also value human life above everything else. thats probably why i have a strong opinion about Abortion. i wont get into the "big A", but the birth of a child and the maturation of an actual life is by far the most amazing and beautiful thing we as humans can mentally concieve. my 2nd would probably be trust. betrayal of trust is incrediably hurtful and nothing good has ever come out of it.
