headlight motors on 89 bird

my headlights go up when turned on but won't go down when turned off, i took it to a mechanic and they couldn't find anything, could it be my computer? or is there a button on the motors to make them stay up like some other cars? the motors are used but i bought them from a junkyard and they both won't do it. also i got the one motor from another junkyard. to see my car click http://members.cardomain.com/89birdowner

but know this, my car doesn't look like that now, that is when i bought it, now i have a system and neon lights and an engine modification. probably fastest auto 2.8L V6 around.

There is a box on the firewall (drivers side) with a relay and some electronic chips in it that controls the up/down of your headlights, could be the problem. The box has a label on it that says "replace do not repair" it is black plastic. I haven't had your problem but have had the rollers inside the headlight gear box self destruct, when that happens they won't go all the way up or down. You can fix that problem with a hot glue stick by cutting new pieces from the glue stick which is the same diameter as the original rollers.
