Re: rsx radioshack rc

hey why dont you wrap electrical tape (black preferably) around the tyres it will let the wheels slip abit if it is too slippery then let alittle rubber show or even half and half just trial and error really mate, go the drifters i say, i drift the 1/10 cars so much more fun driftin

ok well if your looking for build and customize then get an xmod...but radio shack has a car for 59 bucks that goes faster then my $100 car i bought there....if your going to get a car from radioshack get the super street RSX or vortex.....those other cars could smoke an xmod no mater what you put in it...

Dunno, it depends...do they come off? And if they do what does the back of the wheel look like? If it has a hex shaped hole, regular rc/car wheels should fit. If not...see if the tire can be removed and take one to a hobby shop and find a tire that looks to be about the same size.

Generally, when you buy an RC car from Radio Shack or Toys-R-Us, you really can't do anything to them...once they break...toss them. Lately I have noticed that some of their RC cars are starting to resemble their more expensive cousins with the same type of wheels and such, but usually you can't adjust/mod anything (not without electronics knowledge, expensive parts and pretty much gutting the car).

But try the wheel thing...just don't guess on the size of the tire and mail order anything...go to your local hobby shop with the tire and find some the right size. Also for drifting...stay away from soft tires with lots of grip...the harder the better.

I just lokked at the owner's manual on the link you provided and I think you might be able to go to the hobby shop and get some wheels. It looks like the industry standard hex nut that the wheel goes onto. Heck, looking at it, you might be able to get different springs and such...not sure what else without either having the car infront of me or seeing pictures of the car with the body off.
