More information on modding Bugs!!

I'm interested in having a classic(pre smog because I live in California) Bug with a turbo 1641 and a chrome roof rack

. Can someone direct me to sites and/or forums that have more information on this kind of stuff?

And by the way, whats everyone's favorite year of a VW Bug?
