XMDirect

I am one of the admins at www.xm411.com, so if this is inappropriate for this forum, please edit/delete as necessary. Thanks. Just wanted to get the word out on this.

There is a new product out for 2003/2004 BMW/Mini's that allows for your OEM head unit to display artist and song info and fully control an XM tuner that is installed in the trunk. Check out the details here:

http://www.xm411.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=1804

PS, this same thread is also posted in the BMW and MINI sections due to its relevance (or if you need to delete it).

Re: XMDirect

that's a pretty cool feature

Do you know if when you buy the car you get a subscription to the service as a part of the deal, or do you have to go out and get a subscription separately?

Actually, the amazing this about this product is that BMW/Mini are in the Sirius satellite radio camp and that used to be the only option available, now you have a choice to get XM aftermarket, and through BMW/Mini dealers.

But in short, no, there are no special "program" deals from dealers if you get this product, unless the delaer wants to do that on his own.
