1983 Ranger 2wd 2.3 4spd
Which Engine

-2.3L turbo- t.bird turbo coupe
-5.0L- mild mod- 5.0 Mustang (302)
-5.8L- mild mod- 72 Torino (351W)
-5.8L- mild mod- 71 Mach 1 (351C)
-7.5L- mild mod- 69 Lincoln Continental (460)

Need help

I once saw a 429 stuffed into a ranger once. Unbelievable!!!
My pick would be a 302 out of a Mustang. That'd be sweet! Plus it'd probably be the easiest of the bunch. Advance Adapters has the conversion kit you need for a V-8 swap. I've always dreamed of hearing the growl of a V-8 under the hood of my Ranger, unfortunately lack of $$$ forbids me

Put the 5.0 in for relibilty and power. Get an engine 92 or newer High Output Mass Air EFI easier for after market speed pieces.
