thinking baout getting a gsr, help....

well i dont know much about integras since the only cars that i have ever owned were 2 celicas. but now i am looking at a 95 GSR 5 speed with 85000 mi on it, the guy is asking $7500. seem ok? anyways, if i were to get a gsr, what are some good exhaust setups/headers/intakes/chips that are out there? also what is the best lowering setup, that will ride almost as smooth as stock. thanks for the help.

Re: thinking baout getting a gsr, help....

Hey if you haven't already bought the car. See if he would go down on the price alittle. I think for a 95 its a little too much. Maybe at least $7000-7,200. If the owner won't do it, there's alway a better gsr out there. Maybe even a newer year. I always tell my friends this and they listen. I have a 98 gsr with the Greddy Td05-18g setup with the type-24 intercooler. My friend saw my ride and wanted the same car. Well he found a 94 gsr and the guy wanted $7200 for it and I said hell naw, that's a rip off. So I told him to wait and just shop around. So 2-3 weeks went by and we found a 97 gsr purple with a 94000 miles on it for $7800. Plus we negotiated and he took off $250. Man he was happy.

What I'm trying to say is that there's alway something out there that is better and cheaper, maybe the milage is a little hight but hey who cares as long as the car is newer. Remember us racer always find ways to upgrade our motor/acura.

If you did purchase the car already more power to you too. and the thing you should do is get the Greddy evo exause->DC 4-1 stainless steel Header (not ceramic 4-2-1)for this may crack, aem downpipe, and there's a chip they sale on ebay but it needs experience on soldering and replacing your chip, you could let any performance shop do this for you. For the lowering suspension, if you have lots of money you should get the TEIN, but if you don't than just get the SKUNK COIL OVER w/ TOKICO SHOCK/STRUT. Hope these help.

Turbobrat,
Tino,

Stay away from the ebay chips and all chips for that matter, it is one of the biggest waste of money! Mod the car then get hondata or uberdata etc and tune it that way, chips are dumb ways of tunning and modding. The basic things you are going to want are I/H/E to start with then depending on what the plans are for the car there are many routes to go form there. You really need to decide if you are going FI or not and what kind of FI if you are.
