Question Paint????

My parents bought my broth a 92 Blazer in 95 and since I will be getting my license in 3 weeks, knock on wood, I don't want it to be ugly. My dad took out the engine and tranny and replaced it with a high perf racing tranny and a worked edelbrocke 350, car puts out about 370 hp and 405 ft lbs of torque. Now that the blazer runs great i want it to look great, i got it fully black windows all around accept for windshield, and replaced the front grill, really sweet, but now i want to paint it and don't want red, thinking black would be really hot, i dont have the money for show qaulity paint or anything close to it, how much would say like Maaco charge to repaint the car?? I only have like 2g.

If you do the prep work you could get a good job at just about any "cheap" paint shop. The seacret is to have the body in good shape to start with. Garbage in-----Garbage out. Most places use the same typy of gun so the only diffrence is in the paint and sealer. Med quality paint and good prep and finnish will look like a high dollar job.

I would have to agree. By buddy had his Burb sanded, painted, w/ clearcoat, and 3 hours of body work for under $500. That $500 also included A decent quality pain that he bought at an aoutbody suply store. It looked great and an S10 Blazer should cost less than a full size Suburban. Keep in mind, Crap in=Crap out (mentioned before) Spend the time to talk with the shop. Let them know exactly what your expectations are, and ask for their sugjestions on how to acheive the results your looking for.
