Here is my latest custom creation. What I'm calling the Stealth-10. It's been completely shaved, smoothed, chopped, and diced. The top has been chopped 3/8ths of an inch, all the side molding and ground effects smoothed into the body, the side and rear glass smoothed in, frenched in license plate in the rear window, smoothed in the tailgate and tail lights, smoothed out the inner bed, the speaker box goes from the bed into the cab showing off the amps in the bed, there is now an LT-5 (Corvette ZR-1) engine now sitting under the hood, the front fog lights were smoothed in, and the whole package was painted flat black. The bed cover was stipped of the stock painted and the metal was polished to a mirror like shine. I then laid down some flame graphics and painted the rest of the cover flat black. The interior was painted semi-gloss black with stock grey highlights, the TV was relocated to the dash, and the dash was painted gloss black. Enjoy the pics...

Very impressive! I would prefer some chrome rims on there but the overall effect is intense. How did you do the flames on the bed cover?

On the bed cover. I used aircraft paint remover to completely and cleanly strip all of the paint off. Then with wenol metal polish I did three coats by hand, then 4 polishings with the dremel, then 2 more by hand to finish it off. After that I have a sheet of vinyl that I cut the flame graphics on. I then applied the flames to the bed cover, painted the cover, and while the paint was still tacky, I removed the graphics so the metal shines through. I'm going to do this technique on my Astro project that should start soon. |
