Question engine paperwork?

tahoma

hey everyone,
i am interested in gettin an engine swap for my slow ass 95 civic dx coupe. my cousin knows some people that'll do the swap and get the engines for free. but what i want to know is, what if these engines are stolen, what could happen? and is any paper work necessary?

peace,
Jon

an engine and the swap for free? I've got news for you... there is probably someone wandering around with a 12 ga. shotgun looking for the punk that stole their engine!!

STAY AWAY, FAR FAR AWAY. Engines have their original car's vin stamped into them you know...

Re: engine paperwork?

The only way you can get in trouble for buying stolen property is if you know that it is stolen when you buy it. So if you think it's stolen, you might be safe, but if you KNOW it's stolen then you can get in trouble for buying stolen property. If it turns out that they are stolen and you did not know that, they can't take your shit away from you. The shop will be paying out the ass to replace all the stolen items.

do you really want to know if they are stolen? kicker had a good point. pay $1 for the engine and the instal. dont ask where it came from or how it was gotten. then if it is stolen you had no idea
