Question Is there any way I can keep up with a prelude?

I have a 94 Accord lx and engine is completely stock right now. I've got a friend with a stock 94 Prelude si and it will always be stock. What bolt ons and things, short of turbo, nos, etc, could i do to even stay close with him or would it be even possible for me to do so.

I m new to the forum so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Chris

CAI won't make up 20hp difference. I/H/E might give you 15hp, even if you lucky and I/H/E give you additional 20hp, accord still weight more then plelude.
so if you want to beat 94 prelude Si, you have two choice.

Forced induction: nitro, turbo or supercharger.
nitro is cheaps solution, but if its not installed or used properly, you can blow engine up.
turbo; i know Fmax and Drag have kits avalable.
supercharge; supercharge is far most safest way of forced induction. i don't know if any kit avalable for your car, but you always can get a custom one.

second choice is to drop H22.

Go the induction route. Its the safest thing you can do for the car. You start messing with the internals, then you'll end up not moving at all.

instead of all that, just drop an h22 and dont waste money on that lx motor. Best option here

Re: Is there any way I can keep up with a prelude?

drop the lude motor into your car (the h22 though). HP advantage, good aftermarket, and more. Pretty cheap compared to tons of aftermarket bolt ons that won't do much for you in the end. You may find the link in my sig useful.
