Talking D16Z6 Here I Come!!

Whoa, I talked to this dude that owns an engine shop about a mile down from the body shop that I work at and he told me that my shop worked on his van so he would hook me up with whatever...So I looked around, saw a couple ZC DOHC's, then I came across a D16Z6...hmmm..Complete motor...hemm...I asked him how much and he told me $350! I nearly shit myself. Heh, he said to come back when I was ready for them to put it in and not to worry that he would still hook me up with the same deal. Does that seem like a pretty sweet price, oh and he said vtec controller included.

Thats not too bad of a price. Its better than what most people on here have to pay for motors.

Re: D16Z6 Here I Come!!

Dude, jump on that motor, and bite anyone who tries to buy it out from under you. I paid $500 for mine, and that was after I worked the guy down by $100 and hunted all over the face of the land, and I'm still working on that whole vtec control thing...

Killer buy man!

Re: D16Z6 Here I Come!!

I remember when I got my Z6 with 80k on it for my 89 LX, I got it for $200 dollars with a full catback exhaust for the LX and a slightly used Chikara header. I convinced the guy selling it to me that it was a slow motor and that no one would buy it....hehehe....mean, I know but ohhh well right?
