Head Unit Help

Hey guys whats up. After taking my car to get an amp. installed by audio shop- I will never go to again- in a couple of days my front speakers began to cut in-and-out. When I push on the head unit it comes back but it is very brief. I know one of the connections to the head unit is loose... and this is where my problem began. After two seperate days of trying, I cannot take my head unit out.I took out the center console- removed the two retaining screws, I thought holding in the radio, but the head unit won't move at all. I have a 95 civic w/ a kenwood head unit. Can anyone perhaps tell me what I am missing cuz the radio ain't budging at all. Thanks
