92 Park Avenue Trunk Pull Down
The Park Avenue I recently purchased was equiped with a trunk pull down. It appears at some time in it's past the mechanism got broken. Found a new unit on the net at a reasonable price which included the motor, mechanism, etc. My problem is that I didn't see the assembly when it was originally installed. Currently there is a latch catch that could or could not be original. My guess is that it is not. So the question is, do I remove all the old and just install the new complete unit? Maybe better put, is the pull down catch the only catch needed? I know it sounds like a silly question, but I hate to install the new unit close the trunk and have it self destruct.
Thanks, Barry |

Re: 92 Park Avenue Trunk Pull Down
if you can provide the link, I could tell you. I had to replace the same thing myself.

Re: 92 Park Avenue Trunk Pull Down
You bought the whole assembly, all you need is that black sensor towards the left of the picture you have.
BTW, how much did you pay for it? I'll have to check my files, but I think I paid ~12 for my switch at the dealer.
