Car headlights & paint...

Okay, so I already told you guys I am repainting my car. I plant to post pics within this thread in the next week here. What do you guys think about s2000 paint w/chrome-halo proj. headlights & JDM corners as a pose to s2000 w/black-halo proj. headlights & JDM corner lamps? I saw an s2000 today (my color) and started to think "shit...I should have gotten the black ones" Although I love my chromes, black looks awesome w/JDM corners and that silver. Input guys?

Well, first of all, s2000 isn't a color. What color are you talking about?

Plus, what do you mean by JDM corner lamps? So, full amber lenses? Or just clear lenses? Clear lenses aren't "JDM".

Otherwise, this post makes no sense to me. LOL

Before my friend got his triple rounds for his gti, he painted the blacking of his lights black, and it looked very nice.



So yes, you should have gotten the projectors with black backing.

Clear lenses are more JDM than the amber ones everyone is confusing with "JDM" now. JDM EFs HAD clear lenses, but not amber.

I agree with the 2nd part thats why I didn't even attempt to answer this post.
I'm getting really frustrated with people calling amber corners "JDM".. Its like saying fucking VTECH.

Dude, don't get so pissed, explain it if it bothers you that much..So when did JDM corners become amber? 92-up?

They weren't even amber in 92. Only aftermarket ones.

AND since the USDM amber ones people buy that are made by aftermarket companys are made for the US market, they're still not JDM.

So then amber corners are just a look. There was never a JDM civic/accord w/ amber corners?

I don't know about Accord.

I know that why everyone refers to amber corners as JDM started beacuse of JDM Vision corners for the EG Civics.. (they were available for EFs, but extremley RARE, and super expensive) Then there started to be a couple USDM companys that made amber corners for EGs, and now they're starting to make amber corners for EFs, but there's nothing JDM about them. They're made and sold on/for the US market.

I like them too, but they don't belong on certain cars.

Example, here.. I don't think this guy is going for a more "clean" look.. So the clears would seem to suit his car more than amber corners.
