Cool Re: HELP ME!! Low Coolant light comes on, but plenty of coolant!

Me and my dad replaced the water pump for a '99 trans-am LS1, because I was having the same problem that you are having with the light comming on. Well I thought that I had resolve the same problem you were having, but the problem may be is that the low coolant sensor is going bad... We are going to check on that but we have to put the car on a lift. Keep in touch with me for the out come of this....

Re: HELP ME!! Low Coolant light comes on, but plenty of coolant!

My Firebird had the same problem. I just replaced the coolant lever sensor. It is located on the passenger side rail of the radiator. Part about $60.
Pretty easy to change. Good luck!!
