What are your final power goals, do you have a manual tranny, what exhaust/intake setup do you currently have, how much money are you looking to spend, and are you at any point in the future looking to go forced induction?

Choosing the right cam is a complicated decision, you can't just make a choice based upon no real information about the application or it's intended use.

I agree, there are different cams for turbo, suoerchargers, N20 and N/A
I have a set of crower 62404's and they are awesome, tons of upper rpm power gain from these, they work good with nitrous too. This spring I will be able to see what this setup can do, looking for mid low 13's on street tires

i am planning on getting the vtec head, and i am planning on going with only n20. i have a manual tranny, with cold air intake, header and straight pipe all the way with a ractive muffler 2.5 in exhaust. if i go turbo it wont be for a little while. maybe in april i will make that decision. but for now i want to put a 75 wet shot. and ill try to only use it at the track. what does the ls vtec swap give you for hp if you have i/h/e and a set of good cams. sorry for all the Q's. thanks.

Re: which cams should i get

A wet nitrous system injects fuel at the nozzle as well as nitrous, a dry system just injects nitrous and just uses add-ons to the factory fuel system to deliver the extra fuel. Wet systems can ultimately add more fuel with more reliable results than dry and thus are rated for much higher power levels, but they also require a lot more work to install and setup. Most wet systems are also direct port rather than single fogger nozzles.

Re: which cams should i get

If you are just planning on having someone install the nitrous kit and just using it and not changing the jetting etc a dry kit would probably be best for you, although I really don't like them they can be good for a novice Nitrous user. Now if big hp shots and tune ability are what you are looking for then wet is what you want. If you are looking to run under 80hp then a single nossle fogger will work good but if you want more than you need a direct port to be safe.

If you're going to go LSvtec, don't waste money on cams now, wait till you get the head on. Don't add nitrous to the equation, since n2o isn't used all the time, you want more all around performance than just once in a while at the track right? Most cams need an accompaning set of springs, so if you get to lumpy you're looking at replacing that too.

Wet is were fuel is mixed with n2o and dry is just n20.In a dry system you have to hope that your computer dumps more fuel into the engine so i would go with a wet kit.were is osage beach? in mo.kool
