oxygen sensor

thought i'd see if anyone knows exactly what to look for when testing \one. I am pretty sure you can test them with an ohm meter, someone correct me if I am wrong.

the sensor should bounce back and fourth between +1 and -1 while spending the most time in between the two (+1 or -1 is either rich or lean while in between is the correct air fuel ratio) I just had to replace the rear O2 sensor on my dad's miata... you could tell it was bad because every once in a while it would spike way farther than it was supposed to

of course, if it sat at either +1 or -1 for long periods of time that doesnt HAVE to mean that the sensor is bad... you could actually be running either rich or lean.

hope this helps a little bit!
