how to remove the valve cover ?
HI
I cant get the valve cover off on my 96 accord 4 cyl. I removed the four retaining nuts but cant get it to move. Any suggestions ? |

Use something to pry it off the head. Dont forget to replace the v/c gasket & grommets!

however you get it open just be careful to not make any dents or oil leak might happen

make sure you take the spark plug harness bolt on the valve cover too. it goes down through the block. if you dont...........when you try to pry the head off, it wont budge

i wouldn't advise prying it off or you might damage the seal, maybe insert the handle of a large screwdriver into the sparkplug hole and use it as a lever to free it up. or hit it from the side with a rubber hammer,
works for me! |

my h22 came right off with a few nudges maybe try moving it a little from side to side
