Engine Light/Camshaft sensor

Hi eveyone i figured id ask you BMW experts. I have an Engine Light that keeps turning on and my car begins to loose power while i try to accelarate, at times turning off. I've been told it might be the camshaft sensor, but I replaced that according to the code but that didnt solve the problem. Has anyone had a problem such as mine ? The engine light comes on, car looses power and when i stop and try to accelerate , car turns off. thanks alot

Re: Engine Light/Camshaft sensor

did you ever figure out what was wrong. i have a 2000 528i, and it sounds like i got the exact same problem. just checked the fault codes, and i got a 76 - motorized throttle valve (mdk) feedback plausibility and 41 - camshaft sensor, intake cam

Re: Engine Light/Camshaft sensor

Sounds like a faulty EDK. (Electronic throttle)

Re: Engine Light/Camshaft sensor

I have a 1997 528i that has the same issue. I changed the CPS and the problem seemed to have worsened. It never shut off on me before but now it idles ruff on initial start up then calms when the engine warms and won't cut off. Any suggestions.
